It's so nice to see the cold face of reality jump right into the Bush White House and interfere with their misguided sense of destiny and world changing. They have had a lot of fun being unaccountable to the whole rest of the world, including the US Congress, but now they are forced to come begging for more moolah and help from other nations. I know that the President feels degraded by this and probably feels that nobody else is properly understanding of the great work he is doing. The big danger is that if you fuck up a baseball team the result is a losing season - being the President of the United States and fucking up means you are fucking up the world.
